Sacramento Tree Foundation
The Sacramento Tree Foundation initially began in 1981 to establish a voice for the trees of Sacramento County
and its five incorporated cities. The mission of the Tree Foundation is “to build healthy livable communities
in the Sacramento region by growing the best urban forest in the nation.” Their vision is where every neighborhood
street is leafy and inviting; where residents of every dwelling are made comfortable by shade around their home;
where every parking lot is shaded and green; where every park is a welcoming place for contemplation and recreation;
where every school displays the greenery for a health learning environment; and every child can grow up with
clean air and water.
